EFITS FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS OUT OF HEALTH CARE BILL...
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is being swayed by the Congressional Hispanic Congress (CHC) to include illegal aliens in the attempt to overhaul our nation's health care. CHC leaders told Pelosi she wouldn't have to change a single thing in the current version of the House bill for illegal aliens to be covered!
The fax below will go directly to your Member of Congress, asking them to directly leave out including illegal aliens in the Health Care bill now before the House. Please don't delay. Click and send this critical message today. This fax costs you nothing.
DO NOT MISS YOUR CHANCE TO CAST YOUR VOTE:
This is your chance to vote on Obama's performance on this Economy-AT&T/Yahoo Poll.... NOTE: this is a totally unbiased poll. The question is stated very simply... and, to the point. No tricks. No hidden messages. No nothing. JUST A SINGLE, SIMPLE QUESTION. There is no way that anyone can say that it was not a fair poll... or, that it was "phrased" in a way that it can be interpreted later... to fit someone else's desired answer. In other words... it is a spin-doctor's "nightmare."
Concord Legislators ( SPONSORS: Rep. Burridge, Ches 3; Rep. Robertson, Ches 3; Rep. Osborne,

* Guns are used 2.5 million times a year in self-defense. Law-abiding citizens use guns to defend themselves against criminals as many as 2.5 million times every year—or about 6,850 times a day.1 This means that each year, firearms are used more than 80 times more often to protect the lives of honest citizens than to take lives.2 Read the article (fact sheet) at Gun Owners of America
Senate Passes Amendment Protecting Knife Owners: Late Thursday, the Senate unanimously passed an amendment to the Federal Switchblade Act as part of the Homeland Security appropriations bill. The amendment, authored by Sens. John Cornyn (R-Tex.), Mark Pryor (D-Ark.) and Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), changes the federal law under which one agency had tried to redefine many common knives as switchblades.
Two-thirds of the nation's attorneys general have filed a "friend of the court" brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to hear the case of NRA v. Chicago and hold that the Second Amendment applies to state and local governments through the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. This bi-partisan group of 33 attorneys general, agrees with the NRA's position that the Second Amendment protects a fundamental individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms in the home for self-defense, disagreeing with the decision recently issued by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

'Hate Crimes' Legislation on the Move
The so-called "hate crimes" legislation cleared a pivotal hurdle last week when a 60-vote majority (63) voted to limited debate on this legislation so that it could have a final vote. Voting to limit the debate was NH Senator and co-sponsor of the bill, Jeanne Shaheen. Senator Gregg did not vote.
Final votes on the bill are expected TODAY. Write Senator Gregg HERE or call him at 202-224-3324 to tell him to vote AGAINST the 'hate crimes' bill.
Finally, call Senator Shaheen's Office, 647-7500, and let her know your disappointment in her sponsoring this dangerous and radical piece of legislation!
CLiberal Poll Shows NH does NOT Support Gay 'Marriage'
Once again, another poll - this time conducted for the far-left website, Daily Kos - indicated what we've already known: NH residents do not support gay marriage.
The poll found that by a margin on 49%-41%, NH residents are not in favor of gay marriage, and among the age group of 30-44 , the percentage of those opposing balloons to 53%-38%. This is the third such poll conducted since gay marriage was passed which indicated that NH voters are not in favor of the measure - yet our opponents continue to claim that a majority of NH citizens support 'marriage equality'. It simply is not true.
Proving again that the issue of gay 'marriage' is a winning issue for our side in the next elections - and we fully intend to make it an issue!

Well, the voters in Maine will get their say after all. Despite the legislature and Governor having enacted gay 'marriage' shortly before New Hampshire did, the citizens in Maine have already collected enough signatures to give the voters their right to exercise the "Citizen's Veto" to overturn what the Governor and legislature did. Read the full story HERE.
Unfortunately, NH has no such recourse, and as we found out this past session, the majority of our legislators do not believe you should have a say in the gay marriage debate, by refusing to put a non-binding referendum on the ballot. Though you WILL have your say in November of 2010!
The US Senate is set to take up the so-called "Hate/Thought" Crimes bill very soon. It is important that you call Senators Shaheen (202-224-2841) and Gregg (202-224-3324) and ask them to vote against this very bad piece of legislation.

Yesterday, Governor Lynch signaled in a report from nhpoliticalreport.com that he may sign on to the lawsuit recently filed by the Mass. AG's Office challenging the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). Reacting to this news, CPR-Action Director, Kevin Smith, made the following statement to the press:
"It is our sincere hope that Governor Lynch does not waste any more of the taxpayer's time and money on the issue of gay marriage. It would seem to me that with the Governor already facing a looming budget deficit he would not want to shift his priorities to the gay marriage issue again as he did earlier this year."
Smith added, "It is quite amazing though how this Governor went from publically opposing gay marriage as recently as April and now continues to support the repeal of DOMA. Perhaps this is another reason why his poll numbers have plummeted in the last few months - his word simply cannot be trusted."
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Call Governor Lynch's Office TODAY at 271-2121 and tell him to stop making Gay 'Marriage' his priority by not signing on to the Mass. lawsuit!

g Update July 6, 2009
Governor Lynch's Poll Numbers Since February 2009:
Approval Rating: -11%
Disapproval Rating: +15%
A new poll released by UNH last Friday revealed that since February 2009, Governor Lynch's approval rating has fallen 11% while those disapproving has gone up 15%. These new numbers represent the Governor's lowest approval rating since he first took office in 2005. Additionally, the Governor's favorability rating has dropped 21% since the last poll was taken in the spring.
Of extra significance is the fact that of those surveyed, more voters indicated that they were MORE LIKELY to vote AGAINST Governor Lynch next year because he legalized gay 'marriage'.
Also last week, in an unrelated poll released by the American Research Group, it found that Governor Lynch's approval rating has hit an all-time low since he became Governor dropping below 50%. See the ARG poll HERE.
Obama’s way of fixing the Immigration problem…Yesterday, just four days before President Obama holds
his closed-door White House meeting officially kicking off comprehensive immigration reform, he’s already started to subtly tip his hand to what we can all expect…
The AP is reporting that Obama reversed a Bush
administration rule that immigrants rights groups
had long criticized in which immigrants awaiting
deportation were not entitled to legal representation.
Under Obama’s revised plan, you and I will be paying for legal services rendered to those who have no legal right to be here!
And there’s more…
Open border activists today are kicking off a nationwide
campaign aimed at fixing America’s immigration system.
According to Gabriella Villareal of the New York
Immigration Coalition the time is right to fix our
broken immigration system. “In terms of the political winds…
we definitely are in a different position–and in a good
position–to make immigration reform happen this year!
Confidence in Stimulus Plan Ebbs, Poll Finds Obama's Approval Rating Remains High, but Shift in Public Outlook Has Political Implications (Washington Post) Note: Barely half of Americans are now confident that President Obama's $787 billion stimulus measure will boost the economy, and the rapid rise in optimism about the state of the nation that followed the 2008 election has abated, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. Overall, 52 percent now say the stimulus package has succeeded or will succeed in restoring the economy, compared with 59 percent two months ago. The falloff in confidence has been sharpest in the hard-hit Midwest, where fewer than half now see the government spending as succeeding. In April, six in 10 Midwesterners said the federal program had worked or would do so.

1. Independence Day commemorates the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
2. Fireworks were made in China as early as the 11th century. The Chinese used their pyrotechnic mixtures for war rockets and explosives.
3. Uncle Sam was first popularized during the War of 1812, when the term appeared on supply containers. Believe it or not, the U. S. Congress didn't adopt him as a national symbol until 1961.
4. American Flag - There are many precise rules for taking care of the American flag. And speaking of flag traditions, we're sorry to report that contrary to legend, historical research has failed to confirm that Betsy Ross sewed the first flag.
5. Continental Congress - those who supported the declaration of independence from England were very passionate about it. During the last vote on the matter one particular representative rode 80 miles by horseback to reach Philadelphia and break a tie in support of independence.
6. Liberty Bell - The first two versions of the Liberty Bell were defective and had to be melted down and recast. The third version rang every Fourth of July from 1778 to 1835, when, according to tradition, it cracked as it was being tolled for the death of Chief Justice John Marshall.
7. The National Anthem, the "Star-Spangled Banner," is set to the tune of an English drinking song ("To Anacreon in Heaven") and originally written by Francis Scott Key following the bombardment of Baltimore during the War of 1812 with England.
8. The iron framework of the Statue of Liberty was devised by French engineer Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel, who also built the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

CBO Concludes Democrat Plan Increases Federal Deficit By $1 Trillion and counting Over the Next Decade. "enacting the proposal would result in a net increase in federal budget deficits of about $1.0 trillion over the 2010-2019 period. ... It is important to note, however, that those figures do not represent a formal or complete cost estimate for the draft legislation ..." (Douglas W. Elmendorf, Congressional Budget Office Director, Letter to Senator Edward M. Kennedy, 6/15/09)

Legislative Votes: House and Senate:
Wednesday, June 24th (June 25th has also been reserved if a majority vote is not met).
HB1 & HB2 - The budget bills. This week, the NH House and Senate will be voting on the final versions of the budget bills. HB1, the spending portion, still increases overall spending by nearly 11%. HB2, while not containing any of the "boogey man" taxes and gambling, still increases the rooms and meals tax to 9%, doubles the car registration fee, and inflates revenue estimates so that overall revenue "balances" with the spending.
CPR-Action encourages you to call your legislators to remind them that voting for any budget that increases spending by 11% is unwise and fiscally irresponsible! Why, when most families are cutting their spending, is the legislature increasing their spending of taxpayer dollars by 11%!
Merril Lynch ...while talks of bankrupcty they give 3.5 billion in bonuses according to NH public radio .
Where's our money going...Did you know that we are paying with US taxpayer dollars to install solar lights on the streets of Baghdad, Iraq while our own economy suffers.
